Mishimoto is what I bought for my E36 328 (m52 motor) when the radiator failed, the "drop-in" fitment was about 90% accurate. The S54's have a removely mounted expansion tank that sits in front of the fuse box under the hood. Retaining the fan shround and locally mounted expansion tank is a tight fit from what I've read, and some are actually barely touching with the valve cover. However it still has plastic end caps which crack with age. S54 is a drop in triple core vs s52(m52) dual core. besides, i'm sure i can probably buy the mishi cheaper than an s54 rad :XDisclaimer: I haven't done this work yet on my Mcoupe, but have been reading up on them. for jajou, whats the advantage of the s54 rad over the mishimoto? the quality looks fairly good on the mishi, and the lifetime warranty is always a plus. i actually do recall finding the obx hoses and didn't see too many positive things on their products (not necessarily the silicone hoses) so you're right, be wary of eBay stuff. thats what is used for silicone hoses on charge air coolers and they work really well. I believe you are talking about constant torque clamps. Well my OEM hoses are fine, but i was considering the silicone with a rad upgrade.
